REMA Presents Cheque to NSPCC

December 2004 - REMA, the trade association for manufacturers of retroreflective traffic safety products has made its 2004 charity donation to the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children).

Mike Mason, REMA chairman, presented a cheque for £876.66 to Jenni Cowlishaw, corporate appeals manager, NSPCC at the recent REMA annual general meeting held at Wolverhampton Racecourse. “Trade associations, as well as commercial business, should support the wider community,” he commented. “The NSPCC is a great charity, helping children in need to fulfil their potential and hopefully become our leaders of the future.”

This now annual donation follows a resolution passed by members in 2003 to give to charity the interest that accrues during the year on REMA’s financial reserves. The road safety charity, Brake, has been chosen as the Association’s charity for 2005.

Following the annual general meeting, REMA members were joined for lunch by guests from the Department for Transport, Highways Agency, Association for Road Traffic Safety and Management, Traffic Management Contractors Association and the NSPCC

The products provide visual information, day and night, for both permanent and temporary traffic needs.
