Members Certificated Road Studs

Listed below are details of permanent retroreflective road studs supplied by REMA Members that have been tested and certificated to the relevant British/European Standards. REMA is aware of only one other certificated product available for UK use but this is supplied by a non-member and is therefore not included. The relevant standards for certification are:

BS EN 1463-1:2009 Road Marking Materials-Retroreflecting Road Studs Part 1 : Initial performance requirements.

BS EN1463-2: 2000 Road Marking Materials-Retroreflecting Road Studs Part 2 : Road Test performance specifications.

All these products also conform to the requirements for Road Studs detailed in the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) 2002* which is a legal requirement for road studs to be used on the public highway in the United Kingdom.

Please note that there is not yet a standard covering road studs that incorporate both reflectors or retroreflecting material and a steady or intermittent light source and that these are therefore subject to special Type Approval by the Secretary of State for Transport. Studs that have been approved in this way and that are supplied by REMA members are shown in the final section of this list.
